TEACHERS AND VALUES
Rezen Art is committed to creating a comfortable and welcoming learning environment for children, where they’re free to explore their imagination and develop their creativity. Practising art is a wonderful way to reduce your children’s screen time and engage in a hands-on activity. Qualified, DBS checked and experienced art teachers, with range of skills, will be looking after your child at Rezen Art. Teacher to student ratio is up to 8 children per teacher with max 16 children per class. Every child has a different approach to their work which is recognised and supported. Whether they are a beginner or a budding Picasso, we will offer encouragement and guidance.
WHAT HAPPENS AT THE ART CLASS
The class duration is 1 hour long. The lesson starts with our teacher explaining today's topic and then demonstrating a technique with all necessary materials laid out on the table. Your child will then start creating their masterpiece with our teachers providing support & advice when necessary. The academic year moves your child through an Art & Craft curriculum of each project taking in between one to three sessions. Once a project is completed the child can take their work home (canvas painting, clay model, crafted object).

TECHNIQUES
The art classes are designed to encompass a wide range of mediums and techniques that explores 2D and 3D techniques. Children will work with acrylics on a canvas and focus on a specific artistic approach. We will also explore other mediums including watercolours, inks, pastels, oil pastels, clay, papier mâché and metal tooling. Throughout the classes we will be working on core skills such as visual memory, fine motor control, improving visual, perceptual, and spatial awareness as well as introducing new mediums and techniques which will develop colour theory and tonal values.
